Cultivating Your Faith – By David Ibiyeomie

Heb.11:6 -But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

To please God, you must walk by faith. Faith is the ability to see things the way God sees them.

Rom.4:17 – (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Faith is tapping into the power behind the scriptures for the profit of your ife as to rewrite your future. It is a living force drawn from the living word for a living proof. Faith is simply accepting the word of God as the final authority.

Acts 27:25 -Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God that it shall be even as it was told me.

Faith is partnering with the invisible God in the light of scriptures that will result in the accomplishment of the impossible. Moses partnered with God in the scripture below by stretching forth his hand and then God caused wind to blow.

Ex.14:21 -And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

If faith is this important, then you must consciously cultivate it because God’s word which is the source of faith is likened to a seed and seed cannot grow until you cultivate it.

Any faith that does not partner with God is an irresponsible faith. God will not do anything without you being committed to Him by faith which is based on the word of God. To cultivate faith, you must first and foremost desire it.

Prov.18:1 -Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.

Faith grows in proportion to the priority level you give to it. You don’t deserve anything you don’t desire. The next step is to be disciplined. Desire can get the ball rolling but you need to add discipline to it.

Discipline yourself to study God’s word. There is no celebrated man in any field of endevour that did not go through the pain of discipline. You should say no to your flesh when it feels weak. Wake up, fellowship with the Holy Spirit, accept responsibility, stand strong, grow your faith and face challenges.

Heb.12:11 -Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Therefore, subject yourself to the exercising of cultivating your faith. You should also learn how to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Have time you separate yourself to meet with God. Then, you should put your faith to action. Your faith will continue to grow when you live up to your ambassadorial calling. Dare to put your faith to action. If you pray and nothing happens, don’t be discouraged. Keep praying and you will break through in Jesus name –Amen.

God bless you
