Loving God – By David Ibiyeomie

The only credential that launched Solomon into the realm of heaven’s order of wealth was the love he had for God.

1Kings 3:3 – And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.

1Kings 3:13 -And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

Lovers of God don’t pray to prosper rather God commits Himself to see them prosper. Loving God empowers for wealth. Every genuine lover of God has committed God to prosper him or her.

Isaiah 65:24 – And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Labour not to be rich; just labour to love God. Those who chase after wealth never stop chasing because wealth have wings and it takes a foolish man to chase after a bird in the sky.

Loving God commits God’s integrity to prosper you. Solomon loved the Lord so much that even when God gave him a blank cheque, he asked for wisdom to lead God’s people and manage their affairs so as not to displease God.

Today, it may look as if nothing good will come your way but as your love for God keep growing on daily basis, God will cause you to fly higher and higher until you emerge the most prosperous in your spheres of influence.

Solomon’s story is enough illustration for you. As he loved the Lord, the Lord empowered him to make wealth that there was no one as rich as him in his lifetime. Solomon, the wealthiest man that ever lived in Bible history never asked God for it but some believers today are fasting for wealth. Most people are in need primarily because they don’t even know what they need.

Matt.22:37-38 -Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.

Everything in the law and the prophet answer to this commandment. Love God with all your heart, soul and might and all the promises of God in His word will answer to you.

Luke 15:7 -I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

To prove that you love God, you must love what God loves which is soul-winning. It is God’s desire for souls to be saved. If you therefore go about what gives your father joy, He will put you on His pay roll for a labourer is worthy of his wages and before any need arises, supply will be there waiting for you.

Deut.28:12-The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

This shall be your portion from today as you begin to express your love for God by going out to bring souls from the kingdom of darkness into HIS marvelous light.

God bless you
